Update: Missing sex offender arrested while donating plasma

On Monday, 13 sex offenders in Pulaski County were unaccounted for. Since THV's story aired, five have been captured.

Melvin Green and Anson Williams turned themselves in Tuesday morning. Later, Jimmy Morris was arrested in Pulaski County. Meantime, deputies are still searching for 10 other missing sex offenders.

THV first reported this story Monday on "Today's THV at 6:00." In addition to the five arrests, Lt. Carl Minden says their office has received numerous tips about the possible whereabouts of the other suspects.

Detectives are working extra hours to track the men down before someone else becomes a victim.

Maumelle Middle School bands hosting concert

The Maumelle Middle School Band Booster Organization is hosting the 'Bar-B-Q, Band and Boogie' fundraiser tonight in the Maumelle Middle School cafeteria.

The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner, followed by a concert featuring the Maumelle Middle School beginning bands and 7th and 8th grade Stinger Band. During the dinner and concert there will be a silent auction. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $5.00 for kids 12 and under. All proceeds will go towards the Booster Club.

Driver ejected from car in fatal LR accident

According to the police report, a witness told the responding officer that Debra Gill, 49, was heading west at "a very high rate of speed."

Police say Gill left the road, and her vehicle went airborne three times. Once the vehicle came to a stop, the witness says they saw that Gill had also been ejected from the car.

She was transported to a local hospital where doctors said she had a broken pelvis, ribs, collar bone and traumatic brain injury. Gill's sister-in-law contacted police later and said she had died.

Salvation Army kicks off Angel Tree season

 
The rally will begin at 10:30 AM with breakfast donated by Chick-fil-a. The Angel Tree Kick-Off will begin at 11:00 AM at the Angel Tree in front of JC Penney. The event will feature

• Lakewood Elementary Choir singing carols in front of the Angel Tree.
• NLR Fire Fighters Local 35 presenting donated bikes to kick off their fundraiser to provide bikes for the Angel Tree. Their goal is to donate 50 bikes this year.
• Media interviews with Salvation Army officers.
• Salvation Army representatives from Little Rock, North Little Rock, Saline County, and Jacksonville to register individuals for volunteer opportunities.

Veterans at Fort Roots to receive 125 care packages from UAMS employees

UAMS employees will deliver care packages to veterans being cared for in the Veterans Administration hospital at Fort Roots as part of an ongoing celebration of military veterans Nov. 10 at 10:30 a.m.

UAMS collected the items in honor of the 280 fellow employees who have served or currently serve in the military.

About 125 packages were assembled, each containing toiletries, a pair of underwear, t-shirt, candy, and an entertaiment item such as a book.

Each patient will recieve a "Thank You" card signed by UAMS employees, thanking them for their service and a poster colored by a 3- or 4-year-old enrolled in Woodruff Early Childhood Center.

The packages will be delivered at Building 170 room GH124 at 220 Fort Roots Drive at the Eugene Towbin Veterans Affairs Hospital at Fort Roots in North Little Rock.
