NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Charging Wildcat Varsity Girls' basketball team recently won the 50th anniversary Mt. Rice Tournament in Waco, Texas.  North Little Rock players were invited by Head Coach Kim Mulkey of the #1-ranked Baylor Bears to watch practice and tour the facilities at Baylor.  All of our kids enjoyed the trip and represented North Little Rock in a way we can all be proud.  Several great comments were made by local coaches on how hard the North Little Rock High School athletes played.

This Friday, January 7, the NLRHS Girls' Basketball Team will travel to Russellville (11-1) for their first conference game.  The NLRHS Lady Charging Wildcats will be battling the Lady Cyclones for not only a Conference Victory but also to tie the State Record of most consecutive wins (44 wins).

On Saturday, January 8, at Wildcat Arena the Lady Charging Wildcats #20 in the nation will take on Memphis Central the number #1 team in Tennessee and the #7 team in the entire country.   The game will be our home opener and start at 6:00 p.m. Memphis Central plays 7 Division One players and has just returned from tournaments in Hawaii and Arizona where they competed against teams which are ranked in the top FIVE in the country.  This will be the first time in Central Arkansas that two nationally ranked teams have squared off.

Please come out and support the Lady Charging Wildcat Basketball Team this Saturday night at 6:00 pm for their Home Opener against Memphis Central in Wildcat Arena.
