NLRPD host child safety seat check at McCain Mall
Events, News

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 6, The North Little Rock Police Department will host a Child Safety Seat Check at McCain Mall.  Bring your child and car to the southeast corner of McCain Mall (by Dillard’s) between 9 AM and noon.

Certified Safety Seat Technicians will be on hand to not only make sure you have your seat installed properly, but also to make sure the car seat is safe (not recalled) and to make sure the seat is the right size for your child.

According to the Safe Kids website, child safety seats reduce fatal injury in passenger cars by 71 percent for infants less than 1 year old and by 54 percent for toddlers 1 to 4 years of age.  For children 4 to 7 years of age, booster seats have shown to reduce injury risk by 59 percent compared to safety belts alone.

This event is sponsored by the North Little Rock Police Department in conjunction with the Arkansas Highway Safety Office and Dimensions’ Passenger Safety Program.
