Events, News

UAMS employees will deliver care packages to veterans being cared for in the Veterans Administration hospital at Fort Roots as part of an ongoing celebration of military veterans Nov. 10 at 10:30 a.m.

UAMS collected the items in honor of the 280 fellow employees who have served or currently serve in the military.

About 125 packages were assembled, each containing toiletries, a pair of underwear, t-shirt, candy, and an entertaiment item such as a book.

Each patient will recieve a "Thank You" card signed by UAMS employees, thanking them for their service and a poster colored by a 3- or 4-year-old enrolled in Woodruff Early Childhood Center.

The packages will be delivered at Building 170 room GH124 at 220 Fort Roots Drive at the Eugene Towbin Veterans Affairs Hospital at Fort Roots in North Little Rock.
