The Joint Venture Improv Comedy Troupe at The Joint

Now - January 12: "A FERTILE HOLIDAY" This original comedy chronicles the Fertile Family's trouble-ridden holiday reunion in the tiny town of Dumpster, Arkansas. Performances at The Joint every FRIDAY at 8 p.m., and SATURDAY at 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Admission is $20, reservations are recommended. On loan from the Arkansas Arts Center, this exhibition allows viewers to take a look at the southern culture through artists' eyes. The South has rich traditions - friendliness, influential music, spirituality, storytelling and closeness to the land. Some would say that southern culture is currently on its way toward becoming a sentimental thing of the past. This exhibit asks the viewer to contemplate what IS southern culture? January 7 - 18: Thea Center will host a photography exhibition by Little Rock photojournalist John Sykes, Jr. Sykes's nature-inspired, Ansel Adams-esque collection of photographs range from scenic landscapes to digital collages rife with relevant content and context.
