Country chart-toppers Eli Young Band play Rev Room TONIGHT!

Country music chart-toppers Eli Young Band stop in Little Rock to headline an ALL AGES show at Revolution Music Room tonight, Friday, April 22 at 9 p.m.
The band's third album, "Jet Black & Jealous," entered the Billboard Country Albums Chart at No. 5 and at No. 2 on iTunes, producing four Top 40 singles on the Billboard Country Singles Chart — and Eli Young Band has been thrilling crowds all over the country with live performances in support of that album ever since.
The four-man band based in Denton, Texas, is routinely featured in CMT and GAC with its popular videos and has performed at such major events as the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
The band also has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and The Cotton Bowl Classic, and has earned acclaim in People Magazine, USA Today, Billboard magazine, The New Yorker, New York Post, American Songwriter and Country Weekly, among others.

Laman Library hosts 'Greatest Generation' Exhibit in 'Tales From the South'

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. The William F. Laman Public Library joins with the internationally-syndicated Tales from the South radio show featuring writers from “America’s Greatest Generation” reading their own true stories.

On Tuesday, April 26, the Library hosts the radio program live in its Auditorium. The doors open at 7 pm. The night includes experiencing the Mid-America Art Alliance and National Endowment for the Humanities’ On the Road exhibit Our Lives, Our Stories: America’s Greatest Generation in the Exhibit Hall, then a 1940's soda fountain reception with period pieces by Galaxy Furniture in the Argenta Arts District of North Little Rock. There will be live music during the reception by the Bluegrass Bombers from Jacksonville, featuring a 1940's cowboy look.

Since making her recording debut in 1995 with the heart-rending Songs From The Levee, singer/songwriter Kate Campbell has since put together a body of work matched only (perhaps) by Emmylou in consistency, Lucinda Williams in terms of pure, wrenching, honest self-examination and self-revelation and no one for its sheer display of broad-based, intimate artfulness.
