NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce's 26th Annual Banquet will be held on Thursday, February 17th at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock. A reception begins at 5:15pm followed by dinner and program at 6:45pm. Doors open at 5:00pm.

Sponsored tables of ten are available for $600.00 or individual tickets can be purchased for $60 per person.

The program will feature director and producer Harry Thomason, as well as actresss and writer Joey Lauren Adams.

Windstream builds MAN (Metro Area Network) for the North Little Rock School District

 

North Little Rock, Arkansas......(January 4, 2011)........Before November 2010, the North Little Rock School District's network was made up of 27 T1 Internet lines at all schools and locations across the District at a speed of 1.5 Meg at each location. All schools were connected to the Arkansas Department Information Services (DIS) network that connects all North Little Rock schools and administrative buildings as well as other school districts and state entities. The District utilized the E-rate funding from the Federal Schools and Library Division to pay approximately 75% of the total cost of the new network project.

 

A Request for Proposal (RFP) was developed and 15 vendors expressed interest.

January 10-22, 2011, Argenta restaurants roll out some of their best creations in special $8  2-course lunch, and $25 3-course dinner prix fixe menus, along with their regular menus. Extended to two weeks for 2011, the three year old celebration, is a bi-annual event that showcases the Argenta Arts District in downtown North Little Rock as a premier dining and arts destination.

The North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce is asking that you join them for their 4th annual Oaklawn Jockey Club ‘Kick-Off’ Banquet.

The event is being held Jan. 12, with a reception at 5:15 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:45 p.m. at the Wyndham Riverfront.  The keynote speaker is Terry Wallace.  A table of ten is $500 and individual tickets are $50. Argenta Downtown Council - The annual meeting of the Argenta Downtown Council will be held on December 28, 2010 at 5:30 PM at the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, located at 100 Main Street. All property owners within the Argenta Downtown Central Business District and all members of the ADC and are invited to attend the annual meeting for the election of the Board of Directors and Officers for 2011.The meeting is also open to the public. We look forward to sharing the successes of the ADC in 2010 with you as well as an update of the Argenta District Master Plan and other exciting events for 2011.

Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) holiday schedule

All branches of the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) will close at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 23 and will remain closed through Monday, December 27. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, December 28.

All branches will also be closed Saturday, January 1, 2011 through Monday, January 3, 2011. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, January 4, 2011.
