JACKSONVILLE, Ark. - The Jacksonville Police Department is participating in the Crime Free Multi Housing and Crime Free Rental Property program, with the goal of keeping crime out of neighborhoods.
Officials are encouraging property owners, managers and landlords in the community to participate in the opportunity to improve the town they live in.
The Crime Free Multi Housing program was developed in 1992 in Mesa, Ariz. The Crime Free Multi-Housing Program has spread to nearly 2,000 cities in 44 U.S. states, five Canadian Provinces, Mexico, England, Finland, Japan, Russia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Puerto Rico. The Crime Free Multi Housing program was designed to reduce crime, drugs and gangs on apartment properties.
