Beebe to address military community councils

The value of the military in Arkansas to be discussed

Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe will be the featured speaker at the first combined meeting of the Camp Robinson/Camp Pike Community Council, the Little Rock Air Force Base/Jacksonville Community Council and the Fort Smith/Fort Chaffee Community Council which will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013.  The meeting will be held at the National Guard Professional Education Center Auditorium on Camp Joseph T. Robinson in North Little Rock.

Due to security access requirements for the military post, Community Council members are encouraged to RSVP to their respective council with intention to attend the meeting.  This way an accurate list can be provided for the Camp Robinson Security.

Members of the media will meet an escort from the Arkansas National Guard at the main gate at 11:15.  The escort will route media to the meeting facility auditorium.

A noon meal will be served.  Meal charge is $10.

This is the first combined meeting of the three community councils designed to connect and maximize the community and business voice in support of the military installations, force structure and capabilities housed at the various units located in these communities.
