Head North to Health Feb. 16

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Local residents can take advantage of seven different free health screenings, as well as a limited supply of free flu shots, at Baptist Health's annual Head North to Health (HNTH) Fair on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Fellowship Hall at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock.

For more than 20 years, Baptist Health has hosted this event for the community at large at the local mall. But this year HNTH will be held just a few blocks away at First Assembly of God located at 4501 Burrow Drive.

Hundreds of people from across central Arkansas faithfully attend HNTH to take advantage of free screenings like blood pressure, cholesterol (total and HDL), body mass index (BMI), blood sugar (two-hour fast required), carbon monoxide (for smokers), and PSA for men. Over the years, the nurses at HNTH have helped countless Arkansans become aware of dangerous health issues that they otherwise would have never known about. If you haven't gotten your flu shot yet, there's even a limited supply of free influenza vaccines.

The first 100 participants will receive a goodie bag, and door prizes will be drawn hourly. In addition, radio station KSSN will be on hand doing a live remote broadcast during the event. Don't miss Head North to Health for free screenings that might just save your life.
