Arkansas Travelers to Host ‘Strike Out Stroke Night’

Arkansas Travelers to Host ‘Strike Out Stroke Night’

WHAT:           A helicopter will land to deliver baseballs for the first pitches of the Travelers game against the Tulsa Drillers. Stroke education booths will be set up, and brain-shaped stress toys will be thrown into the stands. Stroke survivors will be honored.

The event is sponsored by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences-led AR SAVES (Arkansas Stroke Assistance through Virtual Emergency Support) program and hosted by the Arkansas Travelers.

WHO:             Three stroke survivors who were helped through AR SAVES will throw each of the first three pitches — all strike-outs for stroke. Nicolas Bianchi, medical director of AR SAVES, will deliver the ball to them after arriving in the helicopter.
