Locally Grown Co-Author to Speak at Laman Library’s “Good Gardens”

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The William F. Laman Public Library System presents Larry Burton, co-author of Locally Grown: Recipes Inspired by Local Living, as May’s featured "Good Gardens" speaker.

On Saturday, May 14 at 10 a.m., Burton will share recipes and tips using locally grown produce during a fun and informative presentation.

Burton and daughter, Annamary Thompson, Executive Editor of the popular Arkansas daily webzine Hot in Little Rock, teamed together in 2010 to craft this book after many requests for mentioned recipes. The book features past recipes from the webzine -- as well as some new favorites. The book includes family stories and recipes, plus suggested wines. It reminds readers to Live and Eat Local and Inspired!

"Good Gardens" takes place the second Saturday of each month through October. It is free and open to the public.
