Charging Wildcat baseball team ranked second in the state

The Charging Wildcat baseball team wrapped up the 7A/6A East Championship with a series sweep in Jonesboro recently. North Little Rock finished the regular season with a record of 23-4 (13-1 7A/6A East) and heads into the state tournament as the #1 seed from the 7A Central. The Wildcats will travel to Rogers to begin tournament play this Friday at noon.

They will face the winner of the Thursday matchup between Cabot and Rogers. North Little Rock is currently ranked in the top 120 teams in the nation by MaxPreps and ranked #2 in the state by the Arkansas High School Baseball Coaches Association.

The Arkansas Times along with the Argenta Arts District is excited to announce their first Heritage Hog Roast celebrating the fine art of cooking a whole hog by area chefs May 4, 2013.
