LITTLE ROCK, Ark.(KTHV) - It's a film that has star power and Arkansas roots behind it. Tuesday, the cast and crew braved the cold to see their work come alive.

The film, "All The Birds Have Flown South" is a psychological thriller set in Saline County.

One of the film's directors, Miles Miller said that the plot line thickens.

"After the loss of his mother, who he has taken care of and they've been really close. Maybe, too close. He ventures out in the world alone and becomes obsessed almost with a waitress at a diner."

The film is written and being directed by Josh and Miles Miller, two brothers who graduated from Bryant High School. Josh Miller said a newly offered film tax incentive is helping to grow the film industry in Arkansas.

"It certainly made it easier for us to stay at home and make a movie here."

Arkansas Film Commissioner Christopher Crane said it's amazing to watch the industry grow. "This is exactly why the incentive was passed. We have content creators in the state of Arkansas creating their content. They don't have to go out of state to create it."

Little Rock native and the film's producer Kathryn Tucker said after working all over the country she's happy to be making movies where she grew up.

"We're shooting at Smith's Drug Store this coming week in the Heights which I grew up going to. I've been going there since I was 5, so that's exciting."

Shooting the film will take 20 days.

Josh Miller said he hopes the movie ends up on the big screen, but he'll take recognition in the independent film industry as well.

"We'd love a good festival run. Obviously, when you make a film you think Sundance or the big festivals that everybody always wants to go to."

The film will also be shot in Bryant, North Little Rock and Little Rock.

The film features North Little Rock native Joey Lauren Adams, who has starred in major motion pictures like Chasing Amy, Dazed & Confused, Big Daddy.
