NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A bat captured on Tuesday from a North Little Rock apartment tested positive for rabies. 

According to City of North Little Rock Communications Director Nathan Hamilton, a bat removed from an apartment at the Heritage House (2301 Division) on January 26 by the North Little Rock Animal Control tested positive for rabies. The Arkansas Health Department confirmed the results on Wednesday. 

North Little Rock Animal control will be placing flyers at the housing complex and neighboring streets advising neighbors of precautions.
