AETN to host four debates in ‘Election 2012’

Democrat, Green, Independent, Republican candidates to participate in debates

CONWAY, Ark. (AETN) — Candidates in four races have agreed to participate in “Election 2012: The Debates,” which will tape and air on the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) Oct. 23-25.

All debates will be held at the AETN studios, 350 South Donaghey Avenue, on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway. Seating is limited, and seats may be reserved by calling 800-662-2386. Doors will open one hour prior to taping times.

Senator David Pryor will be the featured storyteller for a very special Tales from the South Tin Roof Project on Tuesday evening, October 02, 2012. The live taping of the radio series will be at Starving Artist Café in the Argenta Arts District, Downtown North Little Rock. Live music by The Salty Dogs. Doors open at 5:00pm, dinner and drinks are served 5:00pm-6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm.

The Next Generation Young Professionals of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce will host a "North Little Rock Mayoral Candidates Forum" on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, Bank of the Ozarks Conference Center-2nd floor, at 100 Main Street, North Little Rock.

A reception will be held from 11:30am-12:00pm, followed by candidate introductions and questions from 12:00 - 1:00pm. The forum will include the contested mayoral candidates on the ballot in North Little Rock: former NLR City Director of Commerce & Government Affairs Joe Smith; State Representative Tracy Steele; businessman Mark Clinton; and John Parker. The event will be open to the public and broadcast on NLRTV.
