Enjoy All-You-Care-To-Taste sampling of over 250 American Craft Beers from 50 Brewers. Arkansas Ale House (Diamond Bear), Bravo, Crush, Cregeen's, Butcher & Public, The Fold, Whole Hog NLR, Bossa Nova, Old Chicago NLR, and Edward's Food Giant will be providing delicious food samples to compliment the beer sampling at no additional charge.

Mugs Cafe Gallery Exhibit "Elegance" Opens Friday

Mugs Cafe Gallery's latest exhibit, "Energy and Elegance," features paintings by Steven Rockwell, Kelly Furr and Karlyn Holloway. Rockwell's work "hugs the realist edge," Furr's evoke "a sense of otherworldliness" and Holloway's floral compositions are blended with "contemporary elegant design," according to the Mugs release. The reception is 5-8 p.m. for Argenta ArtWalk. "Energy and Elegance" runs through Nov. 18.

The Beginners Dutch Oven Outdoor Cooking Workshop is stirring up local appetites

Dutch ovens bring in the fall season with their delicious smells and flavors that anyone can cook in their own backyard.  Food cooked outdoors in a Dutch oven always gives off mouth-watering flavors unmatched by almost all other cookware.   Join us at the Plantation Agriculture Museum to learn the art of Dutch oven cooking over a fire, discover its Arkansas roots, and enjoy an old fashioned full course lunch.  The workshop will be hosted at the museum on Saturday, October 18th, from 9-1pm. 

The menu for the Beginners Dutch Oven Outdoor Cooking Workshop is:  Buttermilk biscuits, shepherd’s pie, and apple turnovers.  Contact the museum to register early, as space is limited. The deadline to register is Saturday, October 11th.  The workshop fee includes workshop, lunch, and workshop booklet with tips and recipes.  Admission:  $25 per person.

Red Octopus Theater returns with “The Ghoul-sual Suspects!”

LITTLE ROCKThe Ghoul-sual Suspects, the new sketch comedy show by Red Octopus Theater, runs October 16-18, 2014 at The PUBLIC Theatre, located at 616 Center Street, in downtown Little Rock, AR.  Doors will open at 7:30PM and the show will start at 8:00PM.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for senior citizens, military, students and anyone in costume.  No reservations are necessary and there will be refreshments available.  The show is recommended for mature audiences, child tickets are $666.

Arkansas Guard to conduct prescribed burn at Camp Robinson on Wednesday


NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (September 30, 2014) - The Arkansas National Guard Environmental Office will conduct a prescribed burn over approximately 446 acres of land on Camp Robinson Maneuver Training Center in North Little Rock.

The burn will take place on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.

The prescribed burn will be located in the Northwestern region of the post and involve a rugged and remote training area.
