Tulip bulbs from the March Argenta Tulip Month are now available on Main Street from 7th to Washington Avenue and on Maple at 4th and 5th Streets.

If you want to harvest Red Impression tulip bulbs from  Argenta , bring a digging tool with you, they do not actually just pull out. Please be thorough, be neat and be respectful of the rose bushes, they will bite!

Award-wining writer, singer, and actor Michael Thomas Walker will be the featured storyteller on May's Tin Roof Project on Tales from the South, tonight, Wednesday evening, May 08, 2013. The live taping of the radio series will be at Starving Artist Café in the Argenta Arts District, Downtown North Little Rock. Live music by Bonnie Montgomery. Doors open at 5:00pm, dinner and drinks are served 5:00pm-6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm.

Thea Gallery:  Mary Ann Stafford's "The Argenta Project"

Stop by the Thea Center and visit an exhibition of twenty-five pen and ink drawings of Argenta-specific structures by Little Rock artist Mary Ann Stafford.  Stafford’s meticulous renderings bring to life the colorful heritage of the Argenta Arts District with fidelity to the structures‘ original façades and to the historic neighborhood’s eclectic spirit.    

The Argenta Project will be on display in the Thea Center from May 1 to 17.  A closing reception will take place during the Argenta ArtWalk on Friday, May 17, 5 to 8pm.  Free and open to the public.  Originals ($575) and giclée prints ($135) are for sale through the artist at www.staffordart.com.

The Arkansas Times along with the Argenta Arts District is excited to announce their first Heritage Hog Roast celebrating the fine art of cooking a whole hog by area chefs May 4, 2013.

Grounds open to the public at Noon-10 PM. Food serving 3 p.m.-7 p.m., $25 per person, $30 at the door. After 7 p.m. $10 for music and to purchase beer & wine (at door only). Tickets & more information here Hog Roast.
