'JFK 50 Years Later' Press Conference

A news conference will be held to announce further details, including event schedule, about “JFK 50 Years Later,” an archival photography exhibition to be held March 25-30 in North Little Rock’s Argenta Arts District. The exhibition, which includes photos that have never or rarely been seen, focuses on various aspects of the life and times of the 35th U.S. President.

Krewe of Barkus Parade Kicks Off Argenta Mardi Gras

Join us for the Fourth Annual Krewe of Barkus Parade Sunday, Feb. 10, 2:00 p.m., starts and ends at the CityGrove Art Park on 5th Street between Main and Maple. Bring your beads, your friends, your masks, and your dogs to join in the parade fun! Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Then, LAISSEZ LES BON TEMPS ROULER et BON APPETITE! For those who do not speak Cajun...Let the Good Times Roll and Enjoy!!!

Argenta's Annual Mardi Gras Party is Monday, Feb. 11, at Starving Artist Cafe. Tickets are $35 per person - includes incredible gumbo, jambalaya, soaked salad, and red beans and rice by Chef Jason Morell, plus all the beads and feather masks you envie!

Shakespeare Theater brings Shakespeare to the South on Tales from the South

In partnership with the Arkansas Shakespeare Theater, acclaimed writers Greg Brownderville, Hope Coulter, and Jay Jennings will bring Shakespeare to the South on Tales from the South, with stories centered around finding themselves, others, and even the South in the Bard. Tuesday evening, February 12, 2013. The live taping of the radio series will be at Starving Artist Café in the Argenta Arts District, Downtown North Little Rock. Live music by Shelley King, winner of two Austin Music Awards and named the Texas State Musician in 2008. Doors open at 5:00pm, dinner and drinks are served 5:00pm-6:30pm and the show starts at 7 pm.

Eat Your Way Around Argenta During Restaurant Week

Argenta Restaurant Week is rapidly approaching and our stomachs are beginning to growl. From January 21-26, Argenta Restaurants will offer special $8 two-course lunch menus, and $25 three-course, prix fixe dinner menus, along with their regular menus. The four year old celebration showcases the Argenta Arts District in downtown North Little Rock as a premier dining and arts destination. It’s a great way to dine at restaurants that you love (or have been dying to try).
