FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas plays its final non-conference game of the 2012 regular season on Tuesday as it travels to Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock, Ark., to face Louisiana Tech. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.


Tuesday night’s game will be televised on CST with Mike Morgan and Troy Eklund on the call. The game will also be available on the Razorback Baseball Radio Network from IMG. Three-time Arkansas Sportscaster of the Year Chuck Barrett will call the action.


Only berm tickets remain for Tuesday night’s game. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased through the Travs’ website, Travs.com, by calling (501) 664-1555 or at the Dickey-Stephens Park box office.


The Razorbacks are playing a regular season game in central Arkansas for the third straight season. Arkansas has played in front of capacity crowds at Dickey-Stephens Park each of the last two seasons. Last year, the Razorbacks downed Memphis, 7-2, in front of 10,062 fans. In 2010, Arkansas defeated Louisiana Tech, 5-4, in 10 innings.


Arkansas brings a 35-17 overall record into Tuesday’s game against the Bulldogs. The Razorbacks dropped two of three games to Auburn last weekend. Matt Reynolds hit .455 in the series against the Tigers with a homer and two RBI. Tim Carver went 3-for-10 against Auburn, while Dominic Ficociello hit a pair of homers in the series.


Arkansas is hitting .277 as a team, which ranks seventh in the SEC. Reynolds has reached base in 35 straight games and has hit safely in eight straight games. For the season, Reynolds is hitting a team-best .337 with five homers and 34 RBI. Ficociello is batting .320 with a team-high tying six homers and a team-leading 35 RBI. Carver is swinging the bat at a .320 clip with two homers, 24 RBI and a team-leading 12 stolen bases.


The Razorback pitching staff has a team ERA of 3.10, which is third in the conference. Arkansas will start redshirt junior left hander Trent Daniel on Tuesday. Daniel has pitched in 14 games, including three starts, this season and has a 1-0 record with a 5.16 ERA. Daniel’s last start came against Missouri, when he threw five shutout innings.


Colby Suggs is tied for the team lead with 25 appearances and has posted a 5-0 record with a 1.21 ERA. Barrett Astin has also pitched in 25 games and has a team-high nine saves with a 2-5 record and a 2.47 ERA. Brandon Moore has made 20 outings, 17 in relief, and is 4-2 with two saves and a 2.68 ERA. Cade Lynch has a 2-1 record with two saves and a 2.27 ERA in 20 appearances.


Louisiana Tech is 23-23 on the season. The Bulldogs have won five straight games and six of their last seven contests entering Tuesday night’s game. Louisiana Tech was last in action on May 6 when it completed a three-game sweep of San Jose State.


The Bulldogs are hitting .284 as a team and are led at the plate by Ryan Gebhardt, who is hitting .342 with a homer and 21 RBI. Alex Williams is batting .320 and leads the team with 11 homers and 39 RBI. Austin Hedges has a .293 batting average with two home runs, 24 RBI and a team-best seven stolen bases.


The Louisiana Tech pitching staff has a 5.42 team ERA. The Bulldogs are scheduled to start redshirt freshman Chris Sadberry. Sadberry has made eight starts this season and 10 appearances total and has a 2-1 record with a 5.47 ERA.


Out of the bullpen, Caleb Dudley has pitched in a team-high 24 games and has a team-leading eight saves with a 4-3 record and a 3.61 ERA. Jamie Gilley has appeared in 21 games, 15 in relief, and is 2-4 with two saves and a 3.95 ERA. Sam Alvis has a 0-0 record with a 4.87 ERA in 12 relief outings.


Arkansas and Louisiana Tech have met 24 times with the Razorbacks holding a 21-3 edge in the series. Arkansas leads 4-1 when playing the Bulldogs at a neutral site. The Razorbacks have won eight of the last nine meetings against Louisiana Tech, including a 5-4 win in 10 innings in the team’s last meeting on May 11, 2010.
