Campbell to be VIP guest at Austin Fashion Awards

Brandon D. Campbell, founder of Little Rock Fashion Week (LRFW), has been announced as an important guest at the Third Annual Austin Fashion Awards at Austin Fashion Week 2011 on Saturday, August 26 at the Austin City Live venue.

"I'm extremely excited and honored to be invited to attend Austin Fashion Week and its Austin Fashion Awards," says Campbell. "I've attended several fashion weeks around the country and traveled to many cities around the world. This is my first visit to Austin and I'm looking forward to witnessing its rich culture and sharing my fashion and entertainment experience."

As a guest Campbell will be allowed all access to behind the scenes and front row seating at fashion events that cost upward to $400 per ticket to enter. Campbell and AFW organizers are in talks to do a major partnership between AFW and LRFW in 2012. The Austin Fashion Awards is a star studded event that brings out the "Who's Who" in Austin.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The William F. Laman Public Library System announced this week that its monthly concert series, Live at Laman, will feature Katmandu on Thursday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m.

Formed in 2009, Katmandu’s 6-piece band plays “music for you that works for us” — a refreshing fusion of classic rock and blues covers, and a few original tunes as well.

Katmandu draws inspiration from artists like Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, The Pretenders, Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, and many more blasts-from-the-past you know and love.

Lead singer and rhythm guitar player Kat Hood says, “We make an effort to play songs that are not generic or played to death.

Award-winning Arkansan Jeff Nichols to bring next feature film home

We are looking to cast “Neckbone” in Arkansas!  He should be , Caucasian, 13-17 years old whose life experiences in a rural environment results in a hard edge and survival instinct.  This role requires that he be comfortable in boats and water.  Other outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and motor biking would be ideal.

This role is also auditioning in other states and Los Angeles.  As proud Arkansans this is an opportunity to showcase what The Natural State has to offer.  Spread the word; encourage all who fit the description to make application immediately.

We are also looking to cast “May Pearl” in Arkansas as well.  She should be Caucasian, 15-17, a small town girl with natural beauty.

LITTLE ROCK FASHION WEEK ANNOUNCES 2011 AWARDS

(August 5, 2011)  Little Rock, AR---   Little Rock Fashion Week (LRFW) is proud to announce that Laurella by Laurie B. Allen has been selected as the LRFW 2011 Clothing Line of the Year and model Larry Scruggs has been selected as LRFW 2011 Model of the Year.

Laurella, the fashion label owned by Pittsburgh native Laurie B. Allen, was chosen as the 2011 Clothing Line of the Year after her stunning presentation during LRFW's Posh Expression Fashion Experience, July 16.

Little Rock Fashion Week 2011 gets great reviews

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Little Rock Fashion Week 2011 has received many accolades for recent events.  Hosted by Today's THV's Ashley Blackstone and Peter Bailey of NBC's Nitecap with Peter Bailey, the Posh Expression Experience fashion show was the highlight of the week.

Showcasing fashion designers hand-selected by the producer of Little Rock Fashion Week, Brandon Campbell, all was aglow and full of excitement for the "fashionment" event (as Campbell calls it).

Located at the Statehouse Convention Center in the Peabody Hotel made for a lovely venue with much space for all who appeared at this event.  Upon entering, guests were able to view the vendor booths lining the walls of the long hallway.
