Hwy 365 to require temporary lane closure

Hwy 365 to require temporary lane closure

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Crews taking core samples of Highway 365 (MacArthur Drive) for research purposes will require temporary lane closures next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The alternating lane closures will be on Highway 365 between Military Road to the north and 37th Street to the south. At least one lane will remain open at all times. The lane closures will be in effect Monday, February 4th between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.  

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.

City announces first public awareness campaign on bike-passing law

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The City of North Little Rock's Fit 2 Live health initiative and its Bicycle Friendly Community Committee are launching Arkansas' first public awareness campaign on the 3-foot bicycle passing law. The City will hold a public kick-off event on Wednesday, January 16, at 9:00 a.m. in City Council Chambers, North Little Rock City Hall, 300 Main Street.

Aldermen, police, firemen and MEMS personnel will be on hand, along with several community groups, to unveil the billboard, yard sign and bumper sticker designs to be used in the campaign.
