Bridge inspection to close lanes on I-40

LITTLE ROCK -- Crews performing a routine bridge inspection will require a lane closure this week on Interstate 40 in the vicinity of Burns Park, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The inspection will require the eastbound, outside lane to be closed Thursday, January 19 and Friday, January 20.  The lane closure will be in effect between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting. 

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.

"Holly Trolley Day" featuring Free Rides on River Rail's streetcars is set for Dec. 17, committee officials announced.

The streetcar event, billed as a day of shopping and holiday related activities, is to include discounts at businesses along the streetcar line in Little Rock and the Argenta Arts District in downtown North Little Rock. The event is to promote local ridership on the streetcars.

The Central Arkansas Transit Authority, the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the North Little Rick Visitors Bureau are partners in the promotion. The event was proposed by the River Rail Committee created by CATA's board of directors.

I-40 improvements require lane closure

Crews performing pavement repairs on Interstate 40 in the Crystal Hill Road area of North Little Rock will require a lane closure next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The improvements will require a lane closure in the westbound lanes beginning Sunday, Sept. 25 and continuing through Wednesday, Sept. 28.  The lane closure will be in effect between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. each day, weather permitting.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.

Lighting repairs require lane closure

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Crews with North Little Rock Electric working on street lighting on Interstate 30 in North Little Rock will require a lane closure this week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The improvements will be located between the Arkansas River and Interstate 40 and will require the eastbound, inside lane to be closed on Saturday, September 24th.  The lane closure will be in effect between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.

Power lines, wreck cause problems on 67/167

Power lines have fallen across Highway 67/167. There is also a wreck at the location where the lines are down.

Arkansas State Police spokesman Bill Sadler says he can’t say if the accident caused the lines to fall.

Northbound and southbound traffic is being diverted near the Hwy 5 exit. Sadler says it could take at least an hour to clear the scene.

Improvements to Warden Rd. require lane closure

NORTH LITTLE ROCK (8-15) -- Crews performing drainage repair on Warden Road in North Little Rock will require a lane closure this week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The improvements, in the vicinity of McCain Mall, will require the southbound, outside lane to be closed beginning Tuesday, August 16th and continuing through Friday, August 19th.

The lane closure will be in effect between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
