Man caught on camera breaking into home, cars

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Multiple burglaries on the same street in North Little Rock have left neighbors on edge as they wait for police to catch the person responsible.

Victims of the burglaries said they are worried because of how unusual this is for their neighborhood. One homeowner did manage to catch the burglar in the act.

"The guy comes in the back of their house, rummages through everything, and then walks out close to their bedroom and goes out the front door. Now how frightening is that," said JD Ashley as he described what he saw in the surveillance video.

"Got a real good picture of the suspect."

North Little Rock police reports indicate several homes along North Hills Blvd. had been broken into. Ashley was one of the victims. "If I hadn't had my garage door locked, the guy would have walked right in on me and my wife," said Ashley.

Stories of the burglaries are a hot topic on social media. Many living in the area say they are worried they will be next if this culprit isn't caught soon. "Just knowing that there's so much valuables in every home. I'd really hate to see that gone in a night," said Elizabeth Duty.

As police comb through evidence, Ashley hopes his misfortune serves as a reminder to his neighbors. He says, "Always lock that garage door and don't leave windows cracked."

If you have any information on any of the burglaries, you are asked to contact North Little Rock police.
