Looking Forward to the Annual Sherwood Shelter Pet Fair

Sherwood Animal Shelter has begun to prepare for the annual Sherwood Shelter Pet Fair  which is to be held at Sherwood Forest on Saturday April 13, 2013 from 10 A.M. to 3 P. M. Last year the event was a huge success with lots of community donated items for a silent auction, booth vendors for all sorts of pet related services, droves of devoted pets and owners, and last but certainly not least, way too many classy and cute irresistible rescue pets available for adoption!

Last April upon arriving at the fair to hand out  Dash Doggie Hearts ( gourmet homemade doggie treats), Dash Doggie Heart Bandanas (homemade pet neck ware), and Lost Doggies Prayer  Markers (homemade book markers) to all who dropped by our table, we had no idea we would be charmed by one of the hopeful adoptees. She was politely sitting and snoozing in her crate for most of the day and after a brief absence when she was taken to the pet room for a training exhibition, we felt the need to act fast. Yes, instead of simply going to the fair to talk about much needed awareness of  pet overpopulation problems, we answered a lost doggies prayer who we later named Daisy.

Daisy has been a wonderful addition to our other rescued family members and we hope to take her back to the fair this year to hand out Daisy Doggie Treats, Daisy Doggie Heart Bandanas, and Lost Doggies Prayer Markers along with Dash and his personalized items. All items are free with donation which will be donated to the Sherwood Shelter. Check out the Sherwood Shelter link to Facebook above or call (501)834-2287 or drop by the shelter (6500 North Hills Blvd) for more information. Hope to see you at the fair and this year you might be the answer to a lost doggies prayer!
